Mild, economical, and effective
I have been lucky enough to test Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel 250 mlπ I have been using it every evening for about 14 days now, so I have a good impression of how it works on my skin. This is a soap-free gel cleanser designed to remove dirt and impurities without drying out the skin. I start by applying a little product to wet hands and work it up lightly before massaging it into a damp face for just over a minute. Then I rinse off with lukewarm/warm water. Although it is described as a foaming gel, I find it becomes more creamy than foamy when massaged in. For me, thatβs fineβeven though I prefer a more foamy texture. It still feels very pleasant and mild on the skin. I have dry and dehydrated skin with inactive eczema, and this cleanser works well for me. It cleanses the skin effectively without irritating or triggering the eczema, which is very important for my skin type. After cleansing, the skin still feels a bit tight, which is not unusual for my skin type, so I need to apply a good hydrating product fairly quickly afterward. The product is also very economical to use, and you only need a small amount each time. Therefore, I think the price is good considering how long the bottle will last. The only small downside for me is the scent. I prefer fragrance-free skincare products, and this one has a scent Iβm personally not so fond of. All in all, this is a mild and effective cleanser that suits sensitive and dehydrated skin well. A gel-based cleanser that foams and is supposed to quickly remove makeup and dirt without being drying. MY SKIN TYPE: Sensitive Surface dry Reactive skin prone to imbalance I donβt notice a strong scent, it foams nicely, is economical, and does what it promises, except drying out the skin. At least mine. I do have sensitive and dry skin, and like with most cleansers, it becomes dry immediately after use, also with this one. However, if you apply serum and the rest of your skincare immediately after, itβs not a problem. When I wear makeup, I use this twice to be completely sure everything is gone, which it is! β Positive that there is a refill β No strong scent β Works for my sensitive skin β You really feel clean β The price, itβs expensive even though you donβt need much product. If it hadnβt dried out my skin, I would have accepted that. You only need a small dab of the product, it is very concentrated. If I had to give a small minus, it would be that the price is high. But, if you want quality, I understand that it costs.
