This surprised me a bit. I expected a pretty standard cleansing balm, but this one actually has a bit of "personality". The consistency is firm in the jar, but as soon as you work it between your fingers, it melts quickly and becomes an oily, silky-smooth texture that is very pleasant to massage into the skin. It dissolves makeup and sunscreen, I especially noticed that even mascara comes off quite quickly. It doesn't feel like you have to "work" to get your skin clean, it does the job for you.
