I have never gone and had my nails done professionally, so I have no experience at all with that. But I think this kit is fantastic! It’s a process to learn what works best and how to make it last. I really recommend taking your time when doing this. Then the prep work is the most important thing before you get started! The nails should be clean and dry, push back/cut the cuticles, buff the nail surface properly so the gel has a good grip. Be careful not to get the gel on the skin, as it can develop allergies. If you are meticulous, it will hold beautifully! 🌟 If you are a “picker,” it’s clear that it will come off, especially if you are there trying to pick it off. But with careful prep, it should be much harder to succeed! I have used tips underneath that I have filed a bit to blend with my natural nails. Then I buffed my nail thoroughly. I previously dyed my hair with shade 7.23 from the same brand, but this time I wanted to go a bit darker. I prepped my hair by washing it with Maxi Wash from Kevin Murphy to remove all old pigments and residues. 🧖♀️Then I toned my hair by applying a color mask from Maria Nila in the shade “sand” for about 10 minutes. ⏲️ I do this to avoid green pigments ❌ I towel-dried my hair thoroughly and then distributed 6.23 throughout my hair. For my mid-length hair, one and a half packs (i.e., 3 bottles) is enough. I then let the color sit for 30 minutes and voilá! ⭐️ I wash my hair about 2 times a week, and at least once a week I use a color mask to keep my toning as long as possible, like Maria Nila's color mask in “cacao”. The before picture is after using 7.23, about 7 weeks after toning. Positively Surprised
I tried this without any expectations really, as my hair felt extra dirty. I actually bought it for my partner who has scalp issues and uses a lot of products. The scent feels very natural, almost herbal. It lathered up nicely and felt good to massage into the scalp. I let it sit for about 3-4 minutes and then rinsed it out and did a second wash with a moisturizing shampoo. I found that my hair felt MUCH cleaner afterward, and now 3 days later, my hair is still clean, feels airy and fresh. So definitely exceeded expectations! I usually have a very sensitive and reactive scalp, but this didn’t irritate it at all.
